I wanted to know if I just bought the s24 Ultra unlocked through Samsung, if I am able to trade it in if I choose to go to the S25 ultra when it eventually becomes available? Or do I have to wait a certain amount of time? TIA

Hello lovemynote10plususer
That all depends on how you purchased the phone.
If you paid/bought the phone for the full price upfront at the time of purchase or if it's been fully paid off, then yes, you can trade it in for the S25 Ultra as the phone is fully paid for and yours. However, if you got the phone on an instalment plan either from the IEM (Samsung) or a carrier, then you can not trade it in until you pay off the phone either during the duration of the plan or at once as a lump sum. Do note, however, that carriers have specific terms and conditions regarding this, and some carriers will allow you to upgrade your phone early after a specified given amount of time even before your Instalment plan is up, although they do add a small additional fee that'll be included in the instalment plan. Whichever route you choose to go, just make sure you understand the terms and conditions if the phone is on an instalment plan, so you'll know if it can be traded in.
Hope this helps.

I bought through Samsung. Not a carrier. Thank you for the response. Much appreciated. Assumed could trade it in and continue with the updated payments for the cost of the new phone. Oh well.

"...continue with the updated payments", meaning you financed it through Samsung? If so, I believe you will have to pay off that financing before you can finance another phone.
