Samsung messages update? One UI 7 beta

Saw a yourube video just now and this guy just today got a notification for samsung messages all saying there's a new update and it now allows for RCS chat again. ( my unlocked s24 ultra stopped with the rcs mesages) since they are trying to switch over to Google messages. BUT, since Google messages is all over the news now for not having encryption messages its a real mess. I think we will expect a good update with messages now and samsung messages to stay. Just saying.

Google messages is encrypted that’s one of its main features and on my S24+ unlocked Samsung messages still says to switch to google messages

Sources (legitimate news sources) for your claim that "Google is all over the news now for not having encryption"?  I have not seen one single word to that effect (although, admittedly I follow tech news very loosely), and I expect that it is not true and just rumors started by disgruntled users of other messaging apps that do not want to use Google.

Android to Android is encrypted within Google Messages. The issue is Android to Apple because Apple being Apple decided to use a version of Universal Profile that doesn't support encryption. That's on Apple. They're foolish. Samsung Messages didn't support E2EE either, so there's that.
