I literally only encountered this bug this morning but I'm so in disbelief that no one anywhere seems to know how to get the screen recorder to work properly that I'm just making a post myself.
I got a Galaxy S24 FE two days ago, factory new, everything works perfectly except the built-in screen recorder for capturing gameplay. Yes, I have all the settings on to allow audio to be captured; Do Not Disturb off, all permissions enabled, etc. Obviously, since I haven't had the thing long enough to change any of these settings. You'd expect the proprietary screen recorder to work out of the box like it's supposed to, but no matter what I try, nothing works*; once the countdown ends the game audio gets cut completely. Even after I stop recording, the audio stays gone until I force stop and reopen the game.
*Nothing works EXCEPT, if I start recording before opening the game, the audio stays on. I have no idea why this stipulation exists. Obviously the game has no restrictions on capturing audio, and even if it did, by performing this workaround the audio just gets captured anyway.
I'm just taken aback at the nonsensical nature of this bug even existing. Clear the cache, force stop the recorder in Settings, power off the phone, restart the phone, I've done every proposed "fix" I've seen googling trying to troubleshoot this, but apparently nothing can make this software that's built into the phone work consistently as it's intended to even on day one. I can't comprehend why it just gets shipped on every Samsung in a broken state and apparently no one knows how to just make it work. Like, obviously I could just continue using the workaround I stumbled upon, but the thing's supposed to, like, work. Normally. Without requiring me to do a little trick every time I want to use it. If anyone has any ideas, give it your best shot, but I remain doubtful at best.
