Galaxy S24@JamesZ Probably your carrier unlocked device has T-Mobile firmware installed. With a Verizon SIM installed, the update check looks at the Verizon update servers. It will never find a T-Mobile firmware update.
One solution is to temporarily install a T-Mobile SIM, whether it has service or not. Your phone will read the update servers from the SIM card. Before you put your Verizon SIM back in, connect to Wifi and download the update.
The other solution is to flash the Verizon firmware onto your phone.
