Tap on notification icons opens notification drawer instead of preview

I have recently upgraded from a S20+ to the S24 Ultra and encountered some unintentional/unwanted behavior on the S24, which might be a bug.

While on the lock-screen with notification displayed as icon only, when I tap on the icons it opens up the entire quick setting/notification drawer, instead of before on my S20+ where it would stay on the lock screen and smoothly enlarge the notifications to show details/a preview of messages.


I have gone through every possible setting, reset all phone settings, cleared the phone cache, uninstall GoodLock and any customization apps etc. I am starting to think that maybe this is a OneUI 6.1 where you can no longer smoothly tap the icon, or even might be unintentional behavior/a bug.

Don't think it's a bug. I think they must have changed it because my S24+ does the same thing as your S24 ultra.

Seems they made some changes with appearance i.e look and some settings been changed also
