Thumbs DOWN to Google Messaging

I am very disturbed with the Google Messaging switch. I tried it & it does NOT compare to Samsung Messaging! The RCS feature is not needed. Sure one can send emoji responses on a message like iPhone but if that's what one desires, GET AN IPHONE! It only works when the receiving party uses the same RCS feature on their Android phone anyway. The overall features on the Samsung Messaging app has way more personal customization features that make each & every chat/group more visible & organized. I will stick with Samsung Messaging until forced to switch on ALL platforms.

Samsung, the majority dont want to switch apps we use to text. Fix it. We dont want to use the Google app, fix it!!!!

Are you the official spokesperson for "the majority"?  I believe you can only speak for yourself. The fact of the matter is the actual majority of people are already using Google Messages, either because they never used Samsung Messages in the first place, or they switched when they were encouraged to 2  years ago.  Samsung has decided to take THEIR software and discontinue it. They suggested an alternative and if you don't want to use that one, then there are others that can be downloaded from the Play store, but Samsung Messages is gone in the United States.

You can use another messaging app other than Google. There are many! Suggest you use one of them!

I've tried so many different texting apps. Most miss messages some don't send a message for days etc. I haven't found a texting app as reliable as Samsung's! Aot if the ones people are suggesting here I've tried & they are not reliable... OMG this sucks... Back to the drawing board...
