Galaxy S24
Very frustrated with the new UI 7.0 update! I have the Galaxy s24, and now whenever any media is playing, I can only see one additional notification on the notification between the camera lens and the phone clock. The live bar media takes up three or four notification icons in the live bar, rendering seeing quick notifications useless for any other app unless I actually pull down on the notification bar to expand. There is a way to turn off "media player" notifications on the "now bar" section on the lock streen settings; however, you then lose all capabilities on the lock screen to control media. PLEASE allow us to customize the now bar settings so that I only see media controls on the lock screen and when pulling down to expand the notification bar, NOT pinned on the notification bar hiding 4 additional notification icons between the clock and the camera lens. I have media playing throughout the day, so essentially it renders my notification bar quick glance icons absolutely useless now!!!

I don't understand the people who let notifications build up to the point of it taking up the whole screen.
I have always had it limited to 3. But I try to clear them out as they come in
Why let them pile up, I will.never understand.

Robin, with the "Now Bar" media player setting set to on, if you have any sort of Spotify Pandora or YouTube playing , there is only space for 1 notification icon between the clock and the camera lens...ONE!!! So your comment makes no sense. Constantly having to swipe down to see if it's important text, or something that can wait

You want to blame someone, blame Google. I have both phones, an S25U and a Pixel 9proXl. Google and Samsung worked together on Samsung's version of Android 15/ Ui7 almost all the things that were introduced in Ui7 are now in Google's Android 16.
How do I know, I have Beta 16 on my Pixel, everything that changed in the notification area of Samsung phones is now on my Pixel or going to be on my Pixel.
I have media player turned off on my NowBar/ Live Notifications. I don't mind touching my phone to do things when It comes to media. I either pull down the Control Panel or use one of the multiple media widgets on my homescreens depending which I am using.
I adapt, to the change. Find a solution to what are my needs and wants. I have set custom tones for everything that is important, Messages, Email, categories in Email they all have a tone, and I know exactly what is coming in when it comes in.
I also have my notifications prioritized so they appear always on top instead of time.

Ahh makes sense the larger Ultra phones have more space in the notification bar.
