I know this has been beaten like a dead horse, but I honestly believe it is a serious issue that needs to be addressed by the Samsung Group (Mobile/USA) etc.

The video zoom should not be jumping on 1x, 3x, and 5x zooms.  Zooming (using the slider) is fine on all other x's in between (1.01-2.99; 3.01-4.99; 5.01-max zoom).  I understand frame adjustments when zooming, but this is ridiculous.  I traded in my pre-order (01/12/2024 Made In Vietnam) on 24-Feb, 24 and got one made in Korea (01/08/2024).  I even showed the Verizon Store clerk both phones, doing the same thing.  She had never had anyone come in with the issue, but she was shocked to see it.

Samsung:  Zooming while in video mode should not jump, regardless of lens location, angle etc.  It should be smooth and flawless.  The update from 23-Feb did not address this issue.  This should not be a "standard or normal function".  Several "X" users have complained about this (Korea, India and now the US).  For $1,299.99, this issue is concerning for me.

Don't get me wrong...I love my S24U, but trading in is unacceptable.  I shouldn't have to trade in multiple times to get a phone that works.  A couple of questions:

**Is there a software update in progress?

**Is this issue being reviewed?

**Is this a hardware issue?

**Is there a fix that the S24U users can implement?

I have been complaining about the same issue since day one when I got my S24 ULTRA. It ruins your video on playback when you expect a smooth, flawless zoom. It does the same thing when using the camera. However, that's not as critical because you're taking still photos and not videos.

I'm here in the Netherlands  and mine says made in Korea. I have the same issue and if you actually use the photo mode and zoom into 3x and 5x you see the image shifting even worse than on the video mode. Now the second issue that I did not see much talking about is the that the picture gets a little bit dull and gets even worse in low light or just yellow light. For example, we have a yellow light in our living room and oh man 3x and 5x suffer so bad. What bothers me is that I come from  a Note 10+ and then I'm dissaoppointed that it actually did a better job in correcting for this low light.

I had the Note 9 for a little over 6 years and I loved that phone. Shame that it was no longer receiving updates. Eventually it would have become a door stop. The S24U was a no brainer, but I'm rethinking it daily. I'm going to go out on a limb here when I say this: I think it might be software related. When using RAW format I don't get jumps on either the camera or video mode. I downloaded a few camera apps (would have to go back and look) and I was having the issues. Maybe the default camera app can support the 4 lenses and the AI? By no means am I defending Samsung, just trying to trouble shoot it myself. I would like to have users post their camera settings so we can see what they are working with, especially their camera software/build

It jumps because when you go from 2.99 to 3x it changes the literal lens it uses on the back which is in a little bit of a different location so it will obviously get that effect. The reason it doesn't in camera raw is most likely because your resolution is set to a point where it won't let you switch between the lenses (8k won't) while recording so it only digitally zooms to for example 5x on the 1x lens instead of switching to the 3x and then the 5x physically.

I'm facing the same issues on my regular S24. Both phones I've had, my original purchase and its replacement, have the same issue. I checked two demo S24s at the T-Mobile store and they have the same issue. This is a widespread issue.
