What happened to "Super Fast Charging"

I've noticed since the October update that my Galaxy S24 Plus 5G no longer has the "Super Fast Charging" option under battery settings? 

Now when I use my 25 watt or 45 watt charging blocks, it constantly starts/stops charging. Now I have to go back to using an old school regular charging block.

What happened? Where did Super Fast Charging go?

I see, I have all 3 and not a lot of differences on my S23U

The only difference is from 0-70% is 2.0, then it slows down. If you are going from 0-100% the difference is marginal.

I just use my wireless charger lol, the others are for when I leave the house

I have used 45w and 25w adapters, but it still doesn't show fast charging while displaying charging information and both of them shows same charging time 🤔.

Hello Jiraya106,
Did you enable fast charging on your phone? If you didn't, then enable that in your phone's Settings > Device care > Battery > Charging settings and toggle on Fast charging. Do note that fast charging only works when the phone's battery is between the 0 - 80% mark and anything more than, and the phone will automatically reduce the charging speed. Also, 45 watts is the max charge speed that select Samsung phones can achieve. Anything beyond that won't make a difference. If all is done and the problem still persists, try running a battery diagnostic in the Samsung members app to see if anything comes up. Hope this helps.

Hi everyone,

I’ve been experiencing an issue with my Galaxy S24 lately where it’s not fast charging or super fast charging as it used to. When I plug it in, I see either a dark blue circle or a light blue circle initially, but then it just reverts to the standard green charging circle.

I’m using all Galaxy products, including a 65W AC adapter and the appropriate cable that supports super fast charging, so everything should work. However, I’m consistently unable to get the device to charge at higher speeds.

Has anyone else experienced this problem or know what could be causing it? I’ve already tried:

Checking settings 

Ensuring the adapter and cable are plugged in properly.

Cleaning the charging port.

Restarting the phone.

Checking for software updates.

Hi there! Is the 65W charger base you mentioned also Samsung? Do you have any alternate (Samsung) power bricks you can try?

Yeah, it's the Samsung 65-watt power adapter with two USB-C ports and one USB-A port. I also have an Anker adapter with the same thing, USB-C and USB-A, but I want a 100-watt one. I mostly use the Samsung one for my Samsung devices.
