Galaxy S25I would like to request an enhancement to Do Not Disturb for call handling.
Current behavior requires manually selecting โallowed contacts,โ which is not practical for users with large or growing contact lists.
Requested feature:
- Allow calls from all contacts in the Contacts app automatically
- Silence calls from numbers not in Contacts
- Allow those silenced calls to continue to normal voicemail (no hard blocking)
This would provide a low-maintenance way to reduce unwanted interruptions while still allowing legitimate unknown callers (such as medical offices, repair services, or new contacts) to leave a voicemail.
This is different from blocking unknown numbers, which can prevent important calls from reaching voicemail.
This feature would improve usability and reduce missed communications while maintaining user control.
This is a common need for users trying to balance spam reduction with reliability, and it would be a valuable addition to Do Not Disturb.

Galaxy S25Do not disturb already has a line item for "all contacts"; you do not have to add contacts individually. Some people do not want to hear even from their contacts when do not disturb is on (especially if they have a large contact list), which is why you have to select all, none or specific. Blocked calls go directly to voicemail regardless of whether they are blocked by do not disturb or by spam blocking. All calls reach the phone, but blocked calls just don't ring through. Same with texts: messages will still appear in the app, you will still get notifications, you just won't hear the notification tones.

Galaxy S25If you select all contacts, then it would update when you add new contacts. If you only chose selected contacts (even if you select all), it will not pick up additions. You will have to add them manually to the selected contacts list.
