I have the s25 ultra and I think that this is probably the worst one I've ever had by them. I miss my 23 and 24 ultras, I feel this phone is a complete downgrade. and I have a recovery key for my account, that 28 character off of numeric key they give you that's the only give once, but it tells me it's wrong. I've only encrypted a device but one time and that's the quote I got for it and they tell me it's wrong. and they can't do anything about it? I don't know and their customer service is terrible, they are no help and unfortunately I completely and utterly cannot stand Apple or iPhones. I think it's going to go back to a pinebox and open-source from now on. or I'm just going to create my own hop on the SS7 network and just bring pagers back. sorry Samsung you have completely gone downhill along with Google, and everybody else in the giant industries

Sometimes smartphones (or anything for that matter) can be real headaches for people. In the end though, if one is really unhappy with their device, send it back for a refund if one is if the return window period is still active.

I would however I'm not the one who paid for it so it wouldn't come back to me anyways. I used to love him I love the 21 ultra when we had it, I love my Note 10 Plus, but the last couple years kind of seems like customer service is really gone extinct and conglomeration of greed and attempts of monopolization have replaced it. All these companies really don't have best interest of its consumers which I understand a lot of corporations are more concerned about their stakeholders but I'm just saying. as far as giving it away I give a lot of things away, and I actually have quite a few other pretty new offline devices laying around that I definitely sell for way under asking value because it's just ridiculous how much they really try to squeeze out of you and force into contracts. Alas no matter how many times you might wipe a device there's always somebody out there better at what you do than you, and what I do is tinker with a side of pentest and I fancy recovering the lost memories of a devices past. this post was mostly me venting about this **bleep**, glitchy, buggy, expensive pokédex (Yes I realize it's fresh off the line and first production but there's a lot of backpdddling done too)

Hello kingk47phish, Welcome to the Community. We understand how upsetting it is that the encryption key is not working.

As you are aware, the recovery code cannot be viewed again after being generated. Samsung does not store recovery codes. When the recovery code is generated, it must be recorded and stored in a secure space.

This article provides additional information regarding the enhanced data protection feature: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS10003637/

Unfortunately, if the encryption key is not available, or does not work, then the data is lost.
