Galaxy S25

I'm getting a Samsung Galaxy S25 soon, and I've been an Apple user all my life. I just wonder if there are any options that help my battery life, phone-smoothness or anything else, as I have heard that android phones have very much customization, and I want to use it as long as possible til it falls apart in my hands. Ideas are appreciated ๐Ÿ™‚

Go to youtube, search for "tips and tricks Galaxy s25". There are several YouTubers there that give excellent tips and tricks.

If looking for improved battery life, open the Device Care app, then click on Battery, then Background usage limits and toggle on "Put unused apps to sleep". That function removes background processing of added apps once they are not in use. Sleeking allows the apps to check for update, notifications etc, but does that intermittently. Deep Sleep nearly turns off the background (IIRC) almost completely once it hits that mode.  And apps can be added to the sleeping and deep sleeping parts by clicking on each of their sections and then adding apps  as wanted by using the plus sign at the top right. I do not know what time of not using an app determines when it goes to sleep or deep sleep. I knows it takes more a day or more for sleeping.

Also note that clicking on the vertical ellipsis at the top right, Adaptive battery can be toggled on/off. Toggle that on and then the system will gradually learn usage habits and use power more efficiently.

For app that are used a great deal, I would suggest opening settings/apps then scroll through them and open the ones that are used a great deal that are not wanted to be put to sleep. Open the app, then click on Battery, then choose "Optimized". That will lower power usage but the user can still get notifications. Setting apps to "Restricted" will effectively stop all background processes once the app is closed and that can lead to delaying or even not getting notifications, etc. "Unrestricted" gives the app full use of the battery and CPU, not recommended.

Finally, I also suggest downloading from the Galaxy Stare the Good Guardians app which has some very useful plugins. I suggest downloading the whole suite, but for power tracking and saving purposes, then adding Battery tracker, Battery Guardian, Galaxy App Booster (this optimizes all apps, etc when run) and Thermal Guardian, which will show which apps are running that eat excess power resources which is most noticeable as the phones becomes warm or even hot.

Install good guardians it will give you more details on battery storage and ram being used and you can boost apps on the phone with it so all apps run better on the phone1766404456387.jpg
