I want to change the default Samsung Email App Notification Sound. Right now this is the only notification sound that doesn't match anything else and is an annoying sound.

Sadly the solution from the S24 section does not work on my S25 (base model) with ONE UI 7.0

This is the solution from another page here. Doesn't work. There is no option to pick what sound is used for the Samsung email app. The Notifications Categories for the email apps shows all my accounts and only has Allow Notifications and New Emails. Nothing that shows what the sound currently is or a way to pick a sound.

"Do this, go to notifications, advanced settings, turn on Manage notification categories.

Go back out to the main page of Notifications, go to apps notification, look for the Samsung email app. Turn on notification categories, choose the categories, pick a sound."

What happens when you tap on the text for the category you want to change the sound for?  I do not have an S25 and I do not have or use Samsung Email.  However, ALL apps follow the same format.  Notification categories/category list/tap text and see your notification option for that category.  You must tap on the text of the category name (and make sure the category is on).  If you have more than one email account configured, you should see subcategories for each email account in case you want a different sound for different accounts.  If you are not seeing those options, you have to clear the data from the app to reset it. Your proper categories should come back and the ability to set the sound.

Tap on the text new mai. The sub menu will give you the option to pick a sound.

I need a screenshot because those directions do not lead me to a place to change the sound of the Samsung Email app notifications. Compared to the Gmail app which does let me access notification sounds.

Press and hold the icon of each app you want to change sound, from there you go to settings, go to the general settings of the app and go to notifications and change the sound you want, you can add custom sounds from your gallery.

Locate Notification Settings: Go to your phone's Settings, then navigate to Notifications.

Find the Email App: Tap on "App notifications" (or similar) and find the email app you're using (e.g., Samsung Email, Gmail).

Access Notification Categories: Tap on the email app, then find and tap on "Notification categories".

Choose the Category: Select the category for which you want to change the sound (e.g., "New Email", "General notifications").

Select the Sound: Tap on "Sound" and choose your desired notification sound from the list.

Save Changes: Go back to the previous screens to save your changes.

That is just a more detailed version of my post and does not work for the Samsung Email app. Do you have any screenshots from an S25 with ONE UI 7.0 that shows the screen that has the actual sound picking section? Because those steps fail at "Select the Sound" part of your directions.

Thank you for the screenshots. The 2nd screenshot is what finally got me to the last screen. The text descriptions everywhere else where just not getting me to tap "Mail", which is labeled as "New Mail" on my ONE UI 7.0 S25.

I was finally able to go through all my accounts for Samsung Email and change the annoying "Arrow" sound to the default "Whisper" sound.
