Hello!

My question is, is there anyway to hide specific app notifications on my lock screen when I have Do Not Disturb on?

I thought that turning DnD on would allow me to hide notifications on my lock screen but it does not seem to be doing that. It seems it just mutes sounds.

I found a setting that hides notifications when my phone is unlocked, but not locked.

I need to have specific notifications on for work purposes. I also use a focus timer on my phone too. It's not the worst thing, but it would help to not even see messages from Instagram, etc.

Is this possible, and I am just missing something? I even tried "Sleep Mode" on instagram specifically and it still sent message notifications.

Thank you for the help!

Hello @Members_gBkaHg7, thank you for reaching out to the Community we are glad to have you here. I understand how upsetting it can be having issues with notifications.
I have listed a few steps that may help with the notifications on do not disturb.

1. Global Do Not Disturb Settings
This is the fastest way to hide all non-excepted notifications from your lock screen specifically when DND is on.

Open Settings and tap Notifications.
Select Do not disturb.
Scroll to the bottom and tap Hide notifications.
Select Hide from notification panel (which also hides them from the lock screen) or Hide full screen notifications to keep the screen from lighting up entirely.

2. Customize Certain Apps
If you only want certain apps to remain hidden while others (your "exceptions") show up, you can adjust settings per app.

To hide an app from the lock screen
Go to Settings > Notifications > App notifications.
Select the specific app you want to hide.
Tap on Lock screen (the thumbnail image) to uncheck it. This app's notifications will no longer appear on the lock screen at all.
To hide just the content (private mode):
In the same app-specific menu, toggle off Show content on lock screen. This will show that you have a notification from that app but won't show the message preview.
I hope that this information was able to clear up the issue. Please feel free to let us know if it helped.

The first method you gave seemed to have worked and did what I needed it to do.

Thank you so much for the help!
