RAM should not be thought of like storage. Generally you want to use RAM if it is available. RAM makes applications execute faster. As long as RAM usage stays below 80% usage you are good. Samsung's Good Guardians has a Memory Guardian section. Install Good Guardians from the Galaxy Store. Open Memory Guardian and click on History in the middle bottom. It will show you a chart of memory usage.
