I was just wondering what texting app you all use? I've used Textra on my last 3 phones. It's always one of the first things I change. Am I missing out on something you all like better? I've tried the stock one a couple times but thar didn't last long.

Google Messages is the go-to. You get RCS and advanced messaging features... read receipts, typing indicators, tapbacks, better handling of messages with iPhone users, higher quality image and video sending/receiving, plus all the fun animations Google includes (optional.)

Most carriers are transitioning to Google's version of RCS because it runs through Google's servers, tends to be more compatible with iOS, and doesn't require the carrier to build and maintain their own RCS infrastructure.

Unfortunately, you will likely need to transition to google messages to retain RCS Chat features going forward.

They did, except for the S25 series on Verizon & T-Mobile, I believe.

Although I wish you could change the background to anything but that black.

I like Textra as well and don't really care about rcs, I started using Textras sister app called chomp and I love it! Also, great customer support
