since latest Android update, the app is partially covered by the task bar at the bottom, so you can't click the start button and you can't use the app.
I tried to contact the app's assistance and here's what they said:

that’s a common issue after a major One UI / Android update, and it usually just needs a quick display adjustment to fix the app’s layout.

Here’s how you can adjust the display and enable full-screen mode for the Simply-Fi app on your Samsung Galaxy S25 (One UI 8.0 / Android 16):

  1. Open Settings ⚙️
  2. Tap Display
  3. Scroll down and select Full screen apps
  4. Find Simply-Fi in the list
  5. Choose Full screen (instead of “Auto”)

This forces the app to use the full screen area, moving it above the task bar or gesture area.

If your navigation bar (task bar) is covering the bottom of apps:

  1. Go to Settings → Display → Navigation bar
  2. If you use Buttons, turn on “Gesture hint” or “Swipe gestures”
    • This replaces the task bar with swipe controls, freeing space at the bottom.
  3. If you prefer to keep buttons, scroll down and toggle “Show and hide button”
    • You can then double-tap the small dot on the navigation bar to hide it when using certain apps.

You can also try resetting the app’s display settings:

  1. Settings → Apps → Simply-Fi
  2. Tap Storage → Clear cache (not data, unless needed)
  3. Force close and reopen the app.

After you change those settings, reopen the Simply-Fi app — you should now be able to see and tap the Start button properly.

but it didn't solve my problem:

re: the first answer, I DON'T HAVE FULL SCREEN APPS IN MY DISPLAY OPTIONS I had already tried before writing to you
re: second answer, “Show and hide button” is already on and I don't see any dot to remove the toolbar
re: third answer clear cache didn't do it. I need more thorough answers, do you have any? Thanks

Those appear to be instructions for older settings. Now, in order to get the show/hide button on the navigation bar, you have to install Good Lock and the NavStar module, turn it on,  and then toggle on the show/hide button. Then you will see the dot on the left side of your navigation bar.  In NavStar you will also be able to adjust the height of your navigation bar to make it a bit thinner.

It also appears that they removed the "full screen apps" setting somewhere between OneUI5.1 and 7.0 and did not actually bring it back in 8.0.  I can't find an equivalent setting in any of the Good Lock modules, so your best bet would be to use NavStar and the show/hide feature.

ooh! thank you so much! Still, it amazes me that no one from Samsung has ever explained, or put in the instruction manual, the information that you have to use GOOD LOCK to get a number of extra functions. I am an advanced user and yet I had never even perceived this possibility, how come? Anyone from Samsung cares to explain?

Good Lock is the official Samsung customization suite of apps.  They are modulized add-ons so that one only adds the customization modules they need.  It makes for faster updating of customization options and a less bloated operating system, since not everyone needs the same features or settings.  I don't know why Samsung does not make this more obvious or widely known, but coming here to the app, people are happy to tell you that you can accomplish most of what you need via this suite of apps.  Feel free to explore the features of the other modules.

The reason this is on an app to app basis, is simple, the developers of the apps have designed the apps to work with a navigation bar, not buttons.

For the A15, you would need to first download the Fine Lock launcher from the Play store and then download the Good Lock modules from either the Play Store or the Galaxy store or from within the Fine Lock launcher.
