Every now and then I get a small pop up notification on my phone that says "can't install app app not optimized with secure folder".

I tried turning off/disabling notifications for Secure Folder, that didn't work.

I then tried to turn of notifications for updates in the Secret Folder version of Google play, that also didn't work.

I want to get rid of this permanently. When I try to login to the Secure version of Google play it prompts me to login with a work email. I don't want to have to login with my school/work email, but is that a possible way to fix this?

Please tell me how to get rid of the "can't install app app not optimized with secure folder" notification that pops up randomly. Nothing i do prompts it. I have tried updating and restarting my phone too.

My phone was purchased directly from T-mobile so it's not unlocked if that helps

Why not just uninstall the apps within the secure folder if it can be or is not needed? Also, stating it is a locked phone (T-Mobile), their random updates may be causing these notifications. So, I don't know if the secure folder already came activated on the phone by T-Mobile. If not and it was setup by the user, there are no options to not get notifications when setting it up, only sub-adjustments. Anyway, if that is not something one would want to do uninstalling the app(s), of which T-Mobile may not allow anyway, then try this... (not a guarantee)

Open the secure folder, click three dots on the top right, notification then select "Hide content".

The second is secure folder/three dots/ settings/apps then click on the filter on the right of "Your apps (***)", toggle on "Show system apps", then click OK. Scroll down to "Package installer", open that, then notifications and then set the "Show or Hide content when locked" to "Hide when locked". Also, while there (and with any app) and choosing "Notification categories", clicking on that will tell of it has sent notifications or not. I honestly do not know if these will work, as I am using my SF as a test while looking at the setting. Most of notifications cannot be toggle off *(they are grayed out), but then I never use the SF.

The only other option if it is allowed, is to uninstall the folder if that is not important for use or call T-Mobile.
