Overheating and battery drain after update.

I have updated S26 Ultra to the latest April update and right after that it started to overheat and battery drains even when charging, like 1% a minute. Battery saver is on but didn't help. Can't use my phone at all. I did not install any apps nor didn't change any settings. Called tech support, they want me to send them the phone for repair. This is ridiculous if every update they have to repair the  phone. I can't stay without the phone for weeks. Any suggestions?

I had a huge overheating and battery drain issue with my Fold 7 and the April update. I just went to setting and reset all settings. The downside is I had to reconnect my Bluetooth devices, but at least I was able to add my Galaxy Ring and two Galaxy Watch Ultras back successfully. Anytime I did this before, it'd fail and I'd have to reset the watches, but not this time. I've been using my phone as normal since with the only time my phone gets hot is right after a reboot. But no apparent battery drain. For reference, I would be at 50% batter by 10:30 am after taking the phone off the charger (capped at 90% charging) at 8:30 am with no actual use. Now I take it off at 8:30 am, and it's 6:15 pm with a pretty decent day of use and I'm at 48%. So, I'd give the Reset all setting a try.

I've experienced this exact same issue, and in addition to the phone overheating and battery draining after the update...my camera app isn't working

I went to Verizon first (that's my phone carrier), they told me to go to UbreakiFix. I went to UbreakiFix, and then they couldn't fix the issue either. They told me to contact Samsung. I've done an online chat with 3 separate reps from Samsung, and they had me try all these troubleshooting tips, none worked. The last thing I was told by Samsung is that a rep from the specialized team will contact me. This is EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING.

Since update battery drain extremely high and fast charging is virtually impossible and doesnt work.now!! This is rediculous this is brand new phone and had no problems and l9ved the operation! Till the update, now this overheats, doesnt operate right and is rediculous!

Same for me, that recent update has caused too many issues for my S26. In addition to the phone's battery draining very quickly, it's overheating, and my camera app stopped working. Prior to the update, my S26 would stay charged for such a long time and I used the camera all the time. I just purchased the S26 on April 4th, and less than 6 weeks later, I'm experiencing these issues. I'm soooo frustrated!
