My phone did this all day.
1. Go to settings
2. Go to apps
3. Make sure all apps are showing
4. Go to caller id
5. Hit to storage
6. Hit clear data
That just fixed mine

Cleared data and force stopped application several (30) times; also rebooted in safe mode. The application is still not working, and frankly a factory data reset is not a fix at all. That suggestion paired with the emoji is pretty condescending

F Samsung... important work calls this morning who has time for this garbage with a brand new "flag ship" $800 phone. I bought an app called BK for 1.50 that let's you disable any B.S. bloatware Crapsung puts on there devices. Best 1.50 I ever spent. It actually allows you to disable and delete the POS Caller ID app

That is a Sprint app or whatever carrier you have. It has nothing to do with Samsung. It is the carrier bloatware.
