Finger sensor buffer?

I've had my phone lil over a year now, and thanks to wear and tear; the fingerprint sensor has become scratched a bit.   Now it won't recognise my finger, which is a pain as a lot of apps use my finger print, and have real long alphanumeric/symbolic passwords.

You could possibly try deleting your finger print and trying to add it again. Then it would get used to scanning your finger with the scratches over the sensor.
