GPS is helpful to find location you want to go and also locate lost or stolen android device if turn on location in your device. Several users reported GPS location tracking issue or lost GPS signal on Samsung galaxy Note 8/Note 5/Note 4/Note 3. Have you been ever facing GPS tracking location issue on galaxy Note 8?
One of the easiest solution is Trun on and off GPS in your device and check GPS working or not. If not working then try below given four methods to fix Note 8 GPS not working issue.
1. Set Location mode as High accuracy
2. Check for any app update available
3. Clear cache & data of Google Maps app
4. GPS satellite test
5. Factory data reset your Galaxy Note 8
Anyone find a fix for this? Was using gps keeper lite and thats not doing it anymore, I did previously mentioned stuff, high accuracy is on, google maps cache cleared, everything is up to date and nothing, if I have to factory reset I'm just going to flash a rom to it
I had same problem. I was connecting phone via Bluetooth/android auto to car stereo (pioneer 4200 nex also to ford sync) for navigation when driving. Always saying gps signal lost. I noticed when phone screen came back on it would get gps signal back. I turned off the power saving and the problem went away. Hope this helps
Bought note8 a month ago and having severe issues with GPS. I am the one started campaign against Apple in my family and friends because of their prices and was the first one who bought Samsung. Now I am stuck because of this GPS issue. Using GPS is major part of my daily life. I never had this issue with any iPhone I ever used.
Now I think paying $500 extra for the device that is less headache is worth it. Feel sorry to myself for buying this phone.
I'm having the same issue with the GPS
I have an S8 Plus
I run a software for business that does tracking and the tracking sucks on my phone but if I use my wife's iPhone it tracks the whole lot better.
Hopefully they can fix the problem.
There's not much settings with the application for tracking that I use so what I do in my device is I set the app for priority and I make sure it has high location on the GPS I also make sure that the WiFi is turned off so it's not trying to grab wifi locations while I'm driving because the application uses internet and the GPS
So I'm not too sure what other troubleshooting I need to do but all I know is the tracking software my percentages are really low and I need to be in the 95% range
I understand @Solorray Have you tried clearing the cache for the tracking app or for your device? There is a way to clear the cache for all of your device at once but I would want too make sure you follow the steps below else you may accidentally wipe your phone.
