my finger print scanner just stopped working yesterday, I've reset my phone already and have re added my print. it acts as if its not even being touched when on AOD and tells me im not covering the sensor when i am and was working perfectly before. please help

Restart the phone in safe mode :
Go to fingerprint and delete your old fingerprints:
Restart in safe mode again and re-enter fingerprint or fingerprints:
Restart again but in regular mode
Everything should work.

It's pretty easy..
Hit the start button and when the Samsung logo appears hold down the volumn DOWN key til it starts.
It will show on the screen if it is in safe mode.

I had been using a animated home screen and that seemed to cause a problem. After disabling the animation in the app I didn't have the problem anymore.
It was the stock dark screen home screen.
