Last Security Update March

JUMP TO SOLUTION

How about a security update, it's been a while and I know the latest phones and some older models already got the June Security Update. Why is the one for the 8+ MIA? So slow Samsung, so slow!

Since the device is over 3 years old now it won't receive monthly updates and instead will receive quarterly updates. If you want monthly updates and the latest version of Android I'd look into purchasing a new device like the S20 or the Note 20.

You can read up on Samsung's current security update policy here: https://security.samsungmobile.com/workScope.smsb

During Unpacked 2020 it was also announced that starting with the Note 20 Samsung devices would get full Android updates for 3 years, keeping in line with Google's policy for the Pixel line as well: https://www.xda-developers.com/samsung-3-years-android-os-updates-galaxy-note-20/

Finally updated today with the June 1st update, too little too late IMO, however better later than never.
