I am on Sprint and have the S8 Active. I did the update recently around the 1st of September. I don't take a lot of photos. but when I needed to today. the Camera App only displayed a black screen. the Camera itself didn't start up. I was working great before the update, I actually enjoy a lot of the features, but the phone iteself no longer takes photos. I went into settings and selected "Force Stop" on the app and tried re-opening it. that failed. Did the Restart and tried to select the settings icon in the top right corner of the application management. but that only opens up a black screen too. I have the phone icons on the bottom of the screen = the left arrow, the square and the 3 lines. but nothing else. After about 3 mins, i recieve the app isn't working message and have to close it. keeping my fingers crossed. This really is the best phone I have ever had too. makes me a little sad.
@useryTS0hEZgjw Have you tried clearing the cache partition of the phone?
Turn off the device.
Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Bixby key, then press and hold the Power key.
When the Android logo displays, release all three keys.
An ‘Installing system update’ message will show for 30 – 60 seconds before the Android system recovery menu options appear.
Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.
Press Power key to select.
Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, them and press the Power key to select.
When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
Press the Power key to restart the device.
Your phone will take a little time booting up after the cache partition is wiped off of its contents as it will rebuild or recreate those caches.
