Im having the same issue. It's so low that if I'm doing anything while on the phone I can't hear anything- can't tell if has answered, if it's still ringing, if I'm accidentally leaving a voicemail...
I am having this exact issue. Any fix yet?
My Husband And I Both Have The S8+ And We're Both Having The Same Issue. When We Answer Calls You Can Barely Hear The Other Person Speaking. Is Anyone Else Having This Same Issue. ? Or Know A Fix.?
Update destroyed my volume as well. I can hardly hear with the phone pressed to my ear. Also my phone has the worst problem receiving calls. After the One UI update, phone calls are no longer received unless I have my phone connected to wifi and voice over wifi enabled(wifi calling). I did not move, did not change service. Seems like the ONE UI nerfed these phones in volumes, antenna's reception, and battery life. I have since factory reset the device but still not fixed. But it also brought up another problem, now my Samsung Pay is broke after factory reset. If Samsung is nerfing phones so that users can upgrade, trust me I am jumping ship from Samsung.
I have the same issue with my s8 from day one. Its clean as a whistle and no apps are messing with the volume. I still have not figured it out yet but I believe it's a software issue from the start. I have done every test and it says nothing is wrong with it but the volume can not be adjusted any higher. My s6 never had these issues. Samsung does not want to recognize defects. They would rather charge you $$$ to fix problems they created to start with. I'm glad I'm not the only one dealing with this issue.
I was having this issue as well on my S8. Couldn't hear a thing for weeks. This may sound ridiculous, but try it: take a piece of duct tape and press it against the ear speaker. Rub it in so it is stuck right against the mesh and you can see the impression on the tape. Then slowly peel back the tape. Turns out my speaker was blocked. You couldn't see it because the mesh is so small. But my phone is back to normal. Regular call volume. Not saying that is what it is for you guys, but it did the trick for me. I laughed out loud after I did it and it worked. Who knew? Give it a try.
