One ui update HELP!

I've received an s8+ a few months back however I live in United kingdom in which the one ui update has rolled out for my device, but I have not received it, i was still on android oreo and it told me my software was updated the most, I then realized my phone was not manufactured here as it was given to me by a friend who lo purchased the phone from USA, I was wondering if I would receive the update when they receive it or have they already received the update? Thanks

Samsung pushes the update to the carriers, who then push it out to customers in batches. The S8/S8+ is currently updating to Android 9.0 in different stages. If you are unable to receive it through your service provider, I would recommend trying to update using Smart Switch. However, to be sure you are using the correct download, it will have to come from the U.S. website.

Hi their, i have tried smart witch however it days my device is upto date. And is still on android 8.
