Okay I see what you are asking. I checked my gallery too. Some pictures have portrait option that is grayed out and some that is not grayed out. The camera must have a face detected when you take a picture. If it did not detect a face, the "portrait" will be grayed out.

I got a notification from my phone to update it last night. so I immediately updated my software to android pie this morning. and then, I check the photo editor pro which usually is on the three button option when we opened photo on the gallery, suddenly disappear
Please anyone tell me the solution
Or maybe samsung can give us back that application because it is useful for us. Thx

I have the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and I updated to Android Pie and One UI the app your referring to is a system app and is interrogated in the gallery app.

thank you for your share. but i think there's menu that was gone from the photo editor
face detection so, we can edit maybe just the brightness of that face or maybe fixing the red eyes
maybe you have the solution about that

oh God, i think i can face editing menu. when you click decoration, then you click three button on the right top, there is 'potrait' menu. but it still in grey colour, so i still can't use the features. anyone can help me?
