Android Update menu item buttons/icons appear washed out

Just got an update to Android 9. Lots of changes that need to be reverted back to how I like them. The one I have not figured out yet are the menu items--little icons in circles on the menu page, like wifi, bluetooth, location, NFC, etc. cannot be seen since the color scheme is horrible. Is it possible that it could be the theme I'm using? I would like to keep the theme but change the menu item circles. thanks in advance.

Samsung Galaxy S9+. Trying to insert a screencapture, but does not seem to allow it.

Restarted in safe mode and it looks ok, and certainly more readable--it is the theme that I have selected--it's got a conji name, so not sure what it is since I don't read conji. (Dark night with stars on the ocean). Too bad I really liked this theme.

I think your suggestion about the theme has some merit. it's likely the theme developer has not yet updated for Pie. I've been using the stock Night theme since I upgraded instead of various other dark themes I had used in the past. Try that at least for testing purposes to see if stock improves the visibility.

It is the theme--using a dark night with stars over the ocean, but the buttons are washed out and unreadable. Too bad I really liked this theme.
