I had that problem with my one tablet. it turns out that one of the pins in my charging port with touching another pin. the tablet got so hot that if I left my hand on it I would have burned myself. my neighbor discovered the problem and move the PIN. check your charging port. I would also suggest not charging the device with its cover on.
