Content hidden on lock screen S9

My messages are showing up on lock screen as "content hidden". I've already changed the settings under notifications AND under the lock screen settings. I've reset the phone (Bixby button and volume up button). Nothing is working. It's annoying at this point lol. Thanks for any and all help!

You may also need to go into your messaging app, touchbthe 3 vertical dots and select settings. Then select Notifications>General notifications>Lock screen>Show content and also Notifications>New messages>Lock screen>Shiw content

I am not confident this is solved and is most likely a One UI bug. I have to follow this path to turn off "hide content" after every device reset. I reported the bug in December and still no resolution via software updates.

So I have been having the same issue, specifically with Whatsapp. What I had to do was turn off edge display notifications and suddenly it worked.
