Today, I noticed my phone was forcing me to type in my pin to lock, stating that I had 25 missed attempts on my fingerprint scanner. After thinking my fiance did it, I started playing with my phone. The scanner works, and I can use it to sign in on some apps. However, when I lock my phone, and set it down(face down or face up) it begins vibrating, saying the fingerprint access was denied. It does this a number of times before starting to do the countdown. The scanner is going off while my phone is locked sitting on a table.
I have done the following with no success:
Restart the phone
Disable, Reenable the scanner.
Disable, delete all fingerprints, restart, reinstall prints, restart again.
Got into the *#0*# menu and tested the sensor, then restarted.
I have restarted into the bootloader and deleted all cache.
I have turned off all scanners and only put on the fingerprint one.
I verified I have all of the updates on my phone.
I created a restore file, factory restored, and backed up my phone.

If the symptom still occurs after the factory reset I would recommend a service repair. If you would be interested in that please send me a private message here with your full model code and serial number so I can look into what options you have.
