Re: Galaxy S9+ battery deterioration after Pie Update

Yup.  I regularly got 40-45 hours on a charge.  I don't use much screen time on my phone and have always had it set up so apps go to  'sleep' when not in use. Have always checked that nothing is on in the background when I go to sleep.  Battery used to go down 2-3% during the night.  Now it's down 25%.  If you have any suggestions, I'd love to hear them!

Re: Galaxy S9+ battery deterioration after Pie Update

Is that really the best you can do? How about turning the phone off? You missed that one.

Stupidly unhelpful post.  How about addressing the issue that your upgrade has killed the phone batterylife?

Re: Galaxy S9+ battery deterioration after Pie Update

I should be able to keep the same settings as before - why should I have to turn all of the basic functions off, just to preserve battery life, when the issue is clearly the Pie update?? The update is eating battery life, in particular the Samsung Experience is a guilty party.

This is not right.  Samsung needs to fix this as others have said.

Yes, the Samsung Experience is draining all my batter now after the update! How do you disable? I never even use this stupid app! So frustrated with this new update.

@userUPEMe2MsW0  Samsung Experience is the name of the UI, so you actually use it all the time. What troubleshooting steps have you taken so far?

Re: Galaxy S9+ battery deterioration after Pie Update

We NEED BETTER ANSWERS!

This new update HAS RUINED my phone! The keyboard lags; my phone battery drains SO FAST and charges so stupidly slow; every time my finger goes anywhere near the home button area, it closes the app I'm in and I have to reopen it; Google Assitant pops up every dang time EVEN THOUGH IVE DISABLED IT (how do I just remove Google assistant from my home button key?); when I copy and paste, the paste option bar disappears in a flash (I figured I had to use TWO fingers to paste what I've copied, I have to press down in the text area so the paste option bar doesnt disappear and then I can select paste with my second finger); THE TIME NOW APPEARS ON THE LEFT HAND CORNER OF MY PHONE WHEN IT WAS ON THE RIGHT SIDE AND I DONT EVEN HAVE THE OPTION OF SWITCHING IT BACK?

I did NOT have any issues with the way my phone worked prior to this update - I didnt need to turn anything off as youd suggested and now I suddenly have too?

This update is so friggin frustrating!

DONT CHANGE THE WHOLE PHONE with these stupid updates!

If there are literally no way to fix any of this issues this update brought upon my phone, I'm going to have to switch to iPhone...
