There are some things you can check.

  • Verify that the device, charger, and USB cable have no physical or liquid damage.
  • Check the USB connections for corrosion and bent pins.
  • Verify the phone has no liquid damage
  1. To determine if the phone experienced liquid damage, you can check the LDI (Liquid Damage Indicator). The LDI is inside the SIM card tray slot. LDI indicators should be solid white or white with visible pink/purple X's. If the phone has been exposed to moisture, the LDI will be solid pink/purple/red.

You can also clear the cache partition of the phone.

Turn off the device.
Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Bixby key, then press and hold the Power key.
When the Android logo displays, release all three keys.
An ‘Installing system update’ message will show for 30 – 60 seconds before the Android system recovery menu options appear.
Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.
Press Power key to select.
Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, them and press the Power key to select.
When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
Press the Power key to restart the device.
Your phone will take a little time booting up after the cache partition is wiped off of its contents as it will rebuild or recreate those caches.

JUMP TO SOLUTION

I just had the same message. I had my phone charger plugged into an extension cord. Once I plugged it directly into the wall the issue was resolved.
