Hazy Selfie Screen

My selfie screen is all of a sudden hazy/cloudy & security face recogntion does not see a face. This happened once before & it turned out my front camera lens was covered by a Screensaver that had slipped.  This time there is nothing blocking it. I have tried cleaning the front lens to no avail.

Do you experience these symptoms if you test your device in safe mode? If your phone is misbehaving, it's possible that a third-party app is causing the issue.
