My S10 keeps showing the message 'IMS service keeps stopping' and 'com.android.phone keeps stopping' frequently after getting the latest update from Samsung on 9/9/2019. The phone is very slow, unresponsive and drains battery quickly.
I have a US bought phone (from the Samsung website) that I'm currently using in Australia. I have seen many people reporting similar issues for S9 phones in separate active threads.
Are there any known fixes for this issue yet? Please help.
Thank you for that information.
I would like to escalate this concern to my product specialist team.
Anyone experiencing this concern, please send me a message directly with the below information here at this link: http://bit.ly/2GH8URL
Your location (Country the device is being used in currently)
I will be happy to forward this information up.
Hope this message finds you well!
Thanks for the response. I have shared my phone details over direct message to you.
Note: I had to take off the sim from the phone and place it in my backup phone as it was basically unusable. The phone works fine after I took out the sim, no more error messages coming up. Although this is not a permanent solution, I hope a patch/update is available soon so that I'll be able to use my S10 again with the sim inserted.
Hi, my galaxy s 10 has the same issue after the last software update, September 10th, 2019. IMS Service keeps stopping. So the phone is very slow, heats a lot and lose battery quickly.
This isn't a solution! So why mark it as solved? Does it make your moderator account look good?
Bottom line, there is an entire group of samsung users who's opinion has drastically changed and no doubt will think long and hard before upgrading to another samsung next time around.
When are you fixing this issue? I have a G960U S9. Bought mew from Kogan. Using in Melboune, Australia.
Its ridiculous having an S9 that performs like an S4 since the update. IMS message constantly pops up. Runs hot and drains the battery. Reverse the update!
When is the fix coming Samsung?
We mods have no ETA at this time.
