Hello all,
I have just acquired a new Samsung Galaxy S9. What bothers me is how much access I have on the lock screen. Is there a way to block access to the top menu (where you have Torch, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi etc.) and the small menu on the right hand side, while on the lock screen? So that you can't access anything, just have the options to unlock the phone and see the time.

Hey @Iosiferus, great question.
You can disable network related quick settings and data sensitive edge panels from being usable with a lockscreen.
Head over to: Settings>Lockscreen>Secure lock screen and make sure the Lock network and security option is enabled. You can also disable certain app notifications from appearing on the lockscreen entirely as well as specifying which apps appear but don't show details until the phone is unlocked.

Hey Rydah,
Thank you for the reply and the help. I see I can disable the network access and some other apps, however I was wondering if there was an option to disable the whole menu, not hand pick the apps. Something like "Access menus while phone is locked - Enable\Disable".
Thank you

Unfortunately at this time, I do not see such an option but I think this is a must for privacy and owner control. We can ask an awesome mod to pass the suggestion along in hopes this can be added.
While on the subject, if you open up your edge panels, there are options for individual panels to disable them on the lockscreen. I attached a screenshot to help point that out. Simply press the edit buttonfor each available panel. For the people edge panel, you may have to click the advanced button within.

I hope this can be added in the near future and I hope you have a great rest of your day.

Thank you for letting us know.
Hope to get this feature soon or at least with the new generation of smartphones.

On my S10 Plus, in Settings, the Edge Screen doesn't look like this. I only have Edge panels and Edge lighting both set to On
