Hi, I waited for long time and upgraded from S5 to S9 just to get dissapointed. It has been an year I bought this phone. Pics are not saved in galary but it looks like they are clicked when you click. Sometimes it take multiple attempts to take one picture which is realy frustrating. I dont have any SD card, I reseted my phone to factory settings but still I see the issue. Today at work i had to take buch of pictures of construction site, non got saved. Lost lots of recordings and time. Does any one know the solution of this issue and if so can you please share it.
You might be using the new Facebook camera. Double check that you dont have 2 camera apps. It you click on the Facebook one it won't save to your phone. FB camera has been downloading automatically.
I absorved it happens when you take pictures continously for some time or camera is on for certain period. Like the other day i was in a park it saved pictures for certain period, i assuemed it was alright but after few minutes when i try to take soem pics at certain ;ocation all those were not saved..
No I didnt try to take pictures in safe mode and i dont want to... I just want to unlock my phone and take pictures..
Are you using the default camera application that came pre-installed on your device or a third party downloaded application?
Have you tried wiping the cache partition of your device to see if the symptom persist?
1. Turn off the device.
2. Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Bixby key, then press and hold the Power key.
3. When the Android logo displays, release all three keys.
4. An ‘Installing system update’ message will show for 30 – 60 seconds before the Android system recovery menu options appear.
5. Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.
6. Press Power key to select.
7. Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, them and press the Power key to select.
8. When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
9. Press the Power key to restart the device.
Agent @SamsungQue suggested safe mode to rule out any third party apps that might be causing the issue with the camera app. It happens all the time.
Agent @SamsungZell suggested clearing the system cache partition. Sometimes system updates can leave older cached files behind and they can cause issues like the ones you're seeing. I clear the cache partition after every monthly update especially if I see something that seems a little off.
Have you already opened system settings/apps /camera and cleared the cache and data?
If you have a glass screen protector installed make sure you have touch sensitivity turned on in display settings. I can't think of anything else that might help other than a factory data reset and no one enjoys that.
If you haven't installed the July security update yet it should be available soon depending on your carrier. Sometimes they include bug fixes and app updates that go unnoticed.
