I updated my Samsung Galaxy S9 to version 10 last week. Ever since, when I send a text to anyone with an emoji in it, my phone sends an immediate 2nd text on it's own with question marks in it "????". Not the kind we used to see when the question mark in the box would replace the emoji. The recipient can see the emoji in the original text, but is left confused by what looks like an immediate follow up text with question marks. This only happens when I send a text with an emoji in it. Has this happened to anyone? I can't find out how to stop it from doing this. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
Yes, through Samsung Messages. My One UI version is 2.1 I restarted my phone to see if that would fix this. However, it still shows the question marks. I also learned that it does not send the emojis (even though it shows on my phone as if it did).
I also tried a test with my daughters phone, a Samsung Galaxy S7 running version 8.0. When I tried to send myself an emoji in a message, all I received were the two question marks.
I would like to look into this issue for you. Let's look into a couple of ofl things first.
Have you tried clearing the cache for the app?
Does it perform the same way when your phone is in safe mode?
Have you tried clearing the cache partition on your phone?
