Software wont update, processing failed

I have an s9+ that says registering device then, processing failed whenever I try to update it! The current android version is 8, Samsung experience version 9, model number SM-G965U. PLEASE HELP

Hello!

 

I can understand wanting to update your device. How are you doing the update? Is it through the phone or are you plugged up to a computer using smart switch?

 

I can recommend trying to download the update while in safe mode. You can get your device in safe mode following these steps.

 

  1. Press and hold the Power button until the 'Power off' prompt appears on the screen then release.
  2. Touch and hold Power off until the 'Safe mode' prompt appears then release.
  3. To confirm, tap Safe mode.
    Note The process may take up to 30 seconds to complete.
    Note Upon reboot, 'Safe mode' appears in the lower-left of the unlock / Home screen.

Let me know if you were able to download it while in safe mode!
