i had a cracked screen replaced yesterday on my s9+. now the home button hard press is gone completely. when the screen is off, it doesn't wake it up. when i go into settings to adjust the pressure for hard button home press, there is no response during the testing. the home button itself functions fine with regular taps. is there some physical device underneath that area detecting the pressure for the 'hard press', that could have been damaged during the screen replace?
I recommend taking the phone to the service location and have them correct the repair to regain the home button function. If the repair was completed at an authorized service location, the repair has a warranty.
