Active 2 LTE not syncing with Samsung Health and Hiking Workout not tracking mileage

Hello! I'm having issues with my Samsung Health. 


Issue one is that it has stopped tracking hiking workout mileage. It did use to track this. I have tried resetting my watch, deleting the app and reinstalling, on both my phone and watch and ensuring that GPS and all other things are on. The watch DOES track walking and running mileage, so this doesn't make much sense to me. 


The second issue is that my Samsung Health app on my phone (Galaxy S10) won't sync unless I connect via Bluetooth (which causes all sorts of issues, like deleting my text messages). Does anyone know how to get them to sync WITHOUT having to turn Bluetooth on the watch?
