Galaxy WatchWatch upgraded to latest firmware yesterday (Jan 16). Now get message "cant get sleep records from phone" when trying to analyze last night sleep. Have restarted, unpaired, reinstalled, and said several not polite things about Samsung updates. Help please! Didn't upgrade my wife's watch (thank God) and hers still works OK.

Galaxy WatchI recommend reaching out to our Samsung Health team directly, you can reach them through the IVR at 1-800-SAMSUNG.

Galaxy WatchI'd like to hear comments on this one too. I'm getting the same message since updating the firmware two days ago, but it looks like (from a google search) that the error is not a new thing?

Galaxy WatchLast night was first night after update. Before bed I checked Samsung Health permissions on my phone and found all were reset. I turned all permissions back on. This morning I got the same error message. I then opened Samsung Health app on phone and tried to look at sleep records. It took a long time with the message syncing to active 2. Finally my stats came up...noticed that a new measurement was in play. I then tried on my watch and it showed my stats for the nights sleep. I suspect that the updated app and firmware had to get in sync. So far no errors checking today. Tonight will be the real test.
BTW, I have gone back into Samsung Health app on the phone and only left body sensors, location, phone, and storage permissions set. This is what are set on my wife's phone which is not upgraded and still working.
I will update tomorrow AM.

Galaxy WatchThis morning the watch spun the circle for about a minute and then gave error message couldnt get data from phone. On the phone the Samsung health app showed a message that it couldn't communicate with watch, then showed the sleep records and analysis. Bottom line is that a problem exists between watch and phone communications syncing sleep information. Next step is to wipe watch and start over without reloading backup. At this point I would settle for reloading the old watch firmware....anyone know where it is and how to do it. One thing for sure....I should have bought an Apple watch given Samsung broken promises and the lack of support (rant over).

Galaxy WatchAfter getting constant error messages on phone Samsung health app "cant sync with watch", I rebooted watch. Sleep data now syncs with watch with no problem.....needs more analysis before conclusion......

Galaxy WatchThis morning the watch sleep analysis displayed the spinning circle when I selected sleep.....the spinning continued through several attempts (watch display has 15 sec timeout). I then opened Wear app on phone and updated weather app, then opened Samsung health....first screen briefly displayed error syncing with watch but then displayed sleep analysis with full data. I displayed sleep on watch and data was displayed. It appears something has changed how watch syncs sleep data with phone, only since firmware update. Now to try slight variations of timing to see what else may affect syncing. It should be noted that my Moto X4 is long in the tooth ( and loaded with "stuff" and has recently exhibited sluggish performance when loading apps. If I come up with analysis "aha" moment I will report....otherwise I will just be patient displaying sleep stats. Have a great day.

Galaxy WatchHave finally accepted that Samsung changed something in the latest update that causes long delays in syncing sleep data between the watch and phone. My new routine is to get up and open Samsung Health app on the phone so it syncs with the watch. Once this occurs the sleep data shows up on the watch. If I try tapping on sleep on the watch first I end up with the spinning circle...sometimes it syncs, sometimes it displays the error message. Oh well...

Galaxy WatchI have found that I now have to open the Samsung Health app on the phone and let it sync with the watch before I can see the sleep results on the watch. It is a minor inconvenience since the detailed sleep analysis on the phone is much more useful.
