My AOD screen is turning off when i fell asleep. Is this an intended feature or a bug? Because i didn't find any option or notification related to this situation.

Mine too (and was introduced in GW some time (2 years?) ago. I use the watch lock function, and after waking up I often need to also enter the PIN.

That would be OK, but in that state the watch is only "half awake" and very repeatedly after exactly 5 minutes the AOD turns black again. I have worked out a method to really wake the watch up which is to remove it from my wrist and after put in on again then enter the PIN. This is a bit of a hassle.

Is this behavior on purpose?

I have a similar problem too. After my sleep i activate/wake the screen, but after a while the AOD turns black again.  And i don't even use the lock function. To solve this problem, i turn AOD off and on again, or manually measure my heart rate. It's a little bit annoying to be honest.
