This is because that watch has those infernal "easy release" buttons instead of the pins with the knobs. Just so you know, you can use any watch band made for any of the Galaxy watches, regardless o f which type of release pins they have. I hope your watch didn't break.
Thank goodness. The watch is in perfect shape. Why it happened is what bothers me. Just shaking of the hand and it went loose. I have secured a replacement strap to see how that works.
It was probably already loose from many taps of the quick release buttons and that last wrist shake was the final straw. A good habit to get into, might be to check the security of the band attachment every time you remove the watch to charge.
