Cannot get TEXTRA messages on watch

On my s9 plus I was able to get my text messages to appear on my Galaxy watch 5 and also able to respond to them through voice using the watch only. now that I have an s23 ultra I cannot seem to get the text messages to forward to the watch.

I just recently switched to Textra and I get messages on my 5,I Believe you have to go into the wearable app on your phone and go to the notifications that you allow and check Textra to see if it's on

Yes I have tried that I have made sure that the notifications for Textra are allowed and they still aren't coming through

The only thing that worked for me was in Advanced Notification settings. I had this off to save battery but, once I enabled "Turn on screen" ...when notifications are received, my textra appeared on watch including mms messages and reply from watch is available.

I use textra as my messages app, I always received messages on my watch till today, I searched and don't see it listed on my watches apps, but it is listed as allowed in my notifications, can anyone help?

Is Textra an option to toggle on in your watch Settings>Notifications>App notifications?

It wouldn't be listed in apps on your watch because it isn't installed there. So the notifications are enabled for Textra on the watch, correct? As long as they're turned on under the phone notification settings, they should be available/coming through on your watch as well.
