Custom app development for Samsung Galaxy Watch Active

Hi, I was wondering if custom apps can be developed for the "Samsung Galaxy Watch Active"? I mean, using Tizen Studio or any other development tool.

(I have the Galaxy Watch) and use Android "WatchMaker" but there is also "Watch Designer" PC software where newer versions (1.6+) is listed as compatible with the "Active" but I haven't tried it.
