I am looking for an affordable plan for occasional use for my watch 3 LTE. The best value plans that support esim are data only providers. Does anyone know what functionality I would get without having a phone number in the watch?

Our watches come with a built-in E-SIM, you would have to contact the carriers to see about the options available for activating a watch on their plans.
As far as I know, so long as the watch is connected to your phone via Bluetooth you'd have full functionality. The only difference with LTE is that you can ditch the phone.
Would a data only plan allow me to use samsung pay? I can get a data only SIM for about $20 a year which is much less than a voice plan. Just curious if I would get any functionality
