I know there are many posts all over the internet about how to stop disconnection notifications on the watch (and the setting on my watch is correct to prevent watch notifications). The thing that has always driven me nuts and is being unbearably annoying is the notification that comes up on my phone. I have looked for any and every setting to stop this. Please help!!!

Have you gone into the Wear app/watch settings/advanced features/disconnection alerts and selected "none" for the alerts?

Seriously, why does it annoy you so much that the alert appears on your phone? A)how hard is it to dismiss (it goes away when the watch reconnects, b) why wouldnt you want to know your watch is disconnected?
Go to you phone settings. Go to apps, locate the Watch Manager, tap on notifications, notification categories (make sure you have them turned on), and slide off "device disconnected". 1744414734165.jpg
