Email-texts don't pop up on Active2

Until recently, my emails and texts would pop up on my Active2 watch when they were received on my Note20 phone. They no longer do--I only get an indication on the watch that a notification has been received.

Being able to read or delete instantly on my watch was a big advantage that I sorely miss. I don't know of any setting changes that might have caused this, and I've adjusted every setting I can think of to fix it.

FWIW, I use a third-party email app on my phone (BlueMail), but I use the stock Samsung Messages app.

Can anyone help?

I don't know if this has changed for your watch, but my GW has always behaved like you describe, IF I don't activate the screen within 2 seconds after the buzz and yellow dot. There is a setting in the wearable app, besides the "show with details" that enables the watch to show the notification without the activation gesture. Maybe you had that ticked before, and now you don't?

I don't have the automatic display enabled. If I react to the buzz and yellow dot, it shows the text. If I ignore it I can swipe (or on the GW use the bezel) and bring it up (as long as the yellow dot shows).

This is very interesting! I don't see a setting that refers to an activation gesture. Can you tell me its exact wording? On my watch in Notifications settings, the setting above "Show with details" is "Turn on for new apps," which I don't have selected. Below it is "Turn on screen," which I do have selected. Tell me more?

It's the "Turn on screen". I don't have that selected. Try disable that and turn on the screen manually (button or gesture) right after you get the buzz. There is a time window of a few seconds to have the content show (without swiping).

😞  Unfortunately, turning off the Turn on Screen setting didn't work either. I also tried accessing the watch immediately when it buzzes for a notification, with the same result--just the orange dot saying there is one. Probably you have a different watch model, are on a different version of software, or there's some other setting difference somewhere.

However, now that I know I can see the full notifications details by swiping, I can live with that.

I appreciate your interest and responsiveness!
